Free BIMI Record Generator

Create Your BIMI DNS Record and Display Your Brand Logo

Must be an HTTPS URL to an SVG Tiny PS compliant file.

URL to your Verified Mark Certificate. Don't have one?

What Does the BIMI Generator Create?

Our BIMI Record Generator outputs a correctly formatted DNS TXT record containing your logo URL and optional authority evidence (VMC or CMC certificate URL). The record is designed to be published at default._bimi.yourdomain.com. The tool validates that your logo URL uses HTTPS, the URL is properly formatted, and the certificate URL (if provided) points to a PEM file. It provides the exact DNS hostname and record value for copy-paste into your DNS management interface.

Preparing Your Logo and Certificate

Before generating the record, ensure your logo meets BIMI requirements. It must be in SVG Tiny P/S format (use our BIMI SVG Converter), have a square aspect ratio, and be hosted at a publicly accessible HTTPS URL. If you are targeting Gmail, you will also need a VMC or CMC certificate — obtain one from DigiCert or Entrust, then host the PEM certificate file at an HTTPS URL. SimpleDMARC's BIMI Certificate service can guide you through the certificate procurement process.

Publishing and Validating

After generating the record, publish it as a TXT entry in your DNS zone at the host default._bimi (full name: default._bimi.yourdomain.com). Allow time for DNS propagation, then validate the complete setup using our BIMI Record Checker. The checker will confirm the record syntax, logo accessibility, SVG format compliance, certificate validity, and DMARC enforcement status. If any prerequisite is missing, the checker will tell you exactly what needs to be fixed.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where do I publish the BIMI record?
Publish as a TXT record at default._bimi.yourdomain.com. The 'default' selector is required — this is the standard selector that mailbox providers look up.
Can I use BIMI without a VMC?
Some mailbox providers (Apple Mail, Yahoo) display logos without a VMC for domains with DMARC at reject. Gmail requires a VMC or CMC. Using a certificate provides the broadest mailbox provider support.
What file format must the logo be?
It must be an SVG file that complies with the SVG Tiny PS profile.
What hosting requirements apply to the logo URL?
The logo must be served over HTTPS with a valid TLS certificate. The server must respond with the correct Content-Type header for SVG (image/svg+xml). The URL must be publicly accessible without authentication.
Can I use different logos for different subdomains?
Yes. You can publish separate BIMI records on subdomains using the same default._bimi.subdomain.yourdomain.com pattern. Each subdomain can reference a different logo.
