Do I need a VMC certificate for BIMI?
It depends on the mailbox provider. Gmail requires a Verified Mark Certificate (VMC) from DigiCert or Entrust. Apple Mail, Yahoo, and Fastmail display BIMI logos without a VMC. We recommend getting a VMC for maximum inbox coverage.
What logo format does BIMI require?
BIMI requires your logo in SVG Tiny Portable/Secure (SVG Tiny PS) format. This is a specific SVG profile — most standard SVGs need to be converted. Our platform validates and converts your logo automatically.
How long does it take for my logo to appear?
Once your BIMI record is published and validated, logos typically appear within 24-48 hours. Gmail may take longer as they cache and verify VMC certificates.
Can I use BIMI without DMARC enforcement?
No. BIMI requires your domain to have a DMARC policy of at least p=quarantine. This is by design — BIMI is the visual reward for implementing strong email authentication.
What if I change my logo?
Simply upload your new logo to the dashboard and we update the hosted BIMI record automatically. If you have a VMC, you'll need to get a new certificate issued with the updated logo.
