Why Standard SVGs Don't Work for BIMI
BIMI requires logos in SVG Tiny P/S (Portable/Secure), a restricted subset of the SVG specification designed for safe rendering in email clients. Standard SVGs exported from design tools like Adobe Illustrator, Figma, Sketch, or Canva typically contain features that are prohibited in the Tiny P/S profile — including JavaScript, external resource references, CSS animations, embedded fonts, filter effects, and clipping paths. If you upload a standard SVG, BIMI validators will reject it, and your logo will not display in recipient inboxes.
What Our Converter Does
Upload your logo file and our converter transforms it into a compliant SVG Tiny P/S document. The tool strips out all unsupported elements and attributes, adds the required SVG Tiny P/S profile declaration, sets the correct xmlns namespace, ensures a square viewBox, and removes any embedded scripts, external references, or non-compliant features. The output is a clean, minimal SVG file that meets the BIMI specification and passes validation by mailbox providers.
Logo Design Tips for BIMI
BIMI logos appear at small sizes — typically 40 to 50 pixels in email clients. Design with this in mind. Use a simple, recognizable mark rather than detailed artwork. Ensure strong contrast against both light and dark backgrounds (some clients use dark mode). Mailbox providers may crop your logo into a circle, so center your design with adequate padding from the edges. Avoid text-heavy logos that become illegible at small sizes. After conversion, preview the output at various sizes to confirm it remains recognizable and professional.
